What are we doing…

May 2017: second and third experiments on track, with the “heavily” instrumented Honda. For this experiments the trainees have 1 month experience at the GN MC training school.

April 2017: first experiment on track, with the “heavily” instrumented Honda. Data collection of trainees (in the early begining  of their period at GN MC training school) and trainers: interview + recording of bend taking maneuvres + post interview.

December 2016-March 2017: “heavy” instrumentation (towards rider/MC interactions’ studies) of 1 motorbike (Honda 1000 CBF)

November 2016: data collection (ER6n + FJR1300)

  1. Novembre 10th: (Voulx) 2 trainers + 8 trainees (various trajectories)

September-October 2016: Instrumentation of 1 motorbike (Yamaha FJR 1300) and instrumentation tuning/validation at Orsay (F91400)

May-July 2016: data collection (ER6n + MT07)

  1. May 24th: (Voulx) 5 GN trainers (recording of road geometric characteristics + various trajectories)
  2. June 21th:  (Voulx) 16 GN trainees / trainers (various trajectories)
  3. July 4th: (Orsay) various maneuvres to identify ER6n static/dynamic parameters

March-May 2016: “light” instrumentation of 2 motorbikes (Kawasaki ER6n, Yamaha MT07) and instrumentation tuning/validation at Orsay (F91400) ; specifications of the “heavy” instrumentation for the study of rider/motorbike interactions

April 2016: identification of a “reference” road section (used by GN trainers to train/assess novices) starting at Voulx (F77940)

February 2016: specification of the instrumentation architecture -> several measurement nodes with CAN bus interface, one can bus data-logger recording data on a USB key ; definition of the instrumentation for the study of trajectories in bends
